No vision of this scale can be achieved without sustained and fervent prayer. We ask you to commit to a season of extraordinary prayer for our church and our hearts. Generosity isn't just about a number—it’s a reflection of our hearts. Ask God to guide you in your giving. His answers may come in various ways: He may reduce your expenses, increase your income, help you break free from material attachments, show you how to leverage your home equity or prompt you to sell something of value. Let’s begin this journey with prayer.
Take time to reflect on what God has provided and consider what meaningful sacrifice looks like for you. You may need to plan how you can make sacrifices to be generous. Could you delay a vacation or new car, sell stocks, redraw from your mortgage, contribute an annual bonus or tax refund, or cut back on expenses like coffee, alcohol, or dining out? This is a shared effort within our church family, and there's great joy in partnering with others in such a significant way.
On Sunday, December 1st, we will be asking every member of Grace City to make a financial pledge toward the Home for the Harvest campaign. Pledges can be submitted in person using a physical pledge card, placed in the offertory basket that day. If you can’t attend, you can submit your pledge online. Two weeks later, on Sunday, December 15th, we’ll announce the total amount pledged by the Grace City community.
You can contribute to the campaign at any time over the next 12 months by following the steps to give on the giving page. True generosity comes from the heart. Give in such a way that you can stand before God with a clear conscience, saying, “Lord, I believe this is a generous amount for me.” Your giving toward this project should be in addition to your regular church contributions.
Continue to pray with us through this season. Ask God to help you trust that He will use your gift to provide a home for the harvest. Pray that He will produce a harvest of righteousness in your own life and that He will give Grace City the opportunity to continue making disciples of Jesus in the City South for many years to come.
