Grace City Church
Dear Grace City Family,

Over the past few years, we’ve seen God work in incredible ways here in Green Square. Week after week, our services are filled with people eager to worship, grow, and deepen their faith. However, as you’ve likely noticed, we’ve outgrown our current building.

But this next step is about more than just making space for ourselves. For the past 10 years, we’ve been blessed by extraordinary generosity. A Christian patron, with a heart for the gospel, has allowed us to use their building free of charge. This incredible gift has enabled us to invest in ministry, reach more people, and grow into the church we are today. Now it’s our turn to pay that generosity forward.

We’re not seeking a new space simply to make ourselves more comfortable. We are creating A Home for the Harvest. In John 4, Jesus tells His disciples, "Look at the fields, they are ripe for harvest." He wasn’t talking about crops, but about a town full of people who needed to meet Him and experience His love. That’s the heart of this campaign: to create a home where those who don’t yet know Jesus can encounter Him. A space where we, as a church, can continue to welcome our city and be a light to those who are lost.
Our new venue at 5/5-15 Epsom Road, Rosebery, is the next step in that vision. To make it a warm and inviting space, we need to raise $1.45 million for its fit-out. This is not just a financial target—it’s a step of faith. We’re inviting everyone who calls Grace City “home” to join in what God is doing and step out in faith with us. This is about creating space for more people to hear and experience the life-changing message of Jesus.

We believe that God has positioned us at this time, in this place, for His purpose. The fields are indeed ripe for harvest, and this campaign will help us build a home where that harvest can be gathered—a place where lives are transformed and the gospel of Jesus continues to be proclaimed.

Thank you for prayerfully considering how you can contribute to this campaign. Together, let’s trust God for the harvest He has prepared for us, and let’s build a home where that harvest can be gathered.

We estimate the total cost to prepare 5/5-15 Epsom Rd as A Home for the Harvest to be $1.7 million. This includes $350,000 for consultant and DA fees and $1.35 million for the fit-out.

By God's grace, we have already received $250,000 in anticipation of this project, leaving us with a fundraising goal of $1.45 million. Our prayerful aim is to raise the full $1.45 million over the next 12 months.
A HOME FOR THE HARVEST

NEXT STEPS YOU CAN TAKE:

We invite you to embark on a spiritual journey that will lead to a financial commitment above and beyond your regular giving. Biblical stewardship emphasises equal sacrifice, not equal gifts, based on what God has entrusted to each of us.

STEP 1: PRAY

No vision of this scale can be achieved without sustained and fervent prayer. We ask you to commit to a season of extraordinary prayer for our church and our hearts. Generosity isn't just about a number—it’s a reflection of our hearts. Ask God to guide you in your giving. His answers may come in various ways: He may reduce your expenses, increase your income, help you break free from material attachments, show you how to leverage your home equity or prompt you to sell something of value. Let’s begin this journey with prayer.

STEP 2: ASSESS

Take time to reflect on what God has provided and consider what meaningful sacrifice looks like for you. You may need to plan how you can make sacrifices to be generous. Could you delay a vacation or new car, sell stocks, redraw from your mortgage, contribute an annual bonus or tax refund, or cut back on expenses like coffee, alcohol, or dining out? This is a shared effort within our church family, and there's great joy in partnering with others in such a significant way.

STEP 3: PLEDGE

On Sunday, December 1st, we will be asking every member of Grace City to make a financial pledge toward the Home for the Harvest campaign. Pledges can be submitted in person using a physical pledge card, placed in the offertory basket that day. If you can’t attend, you can submit your pledge online. Two weeks later, on Sunday, December 15th, we’ll announce the total amount pledged by the Grace City community.

STEP 4: GIVE

You can contribute to the campaign at any time over the next 12 months by following the steps to give on the giving page. True generosity comes from the heart. Give in such a way that you can stand before God with a clear conscience, saying, “Lord, I believe this is a generous amount for me.” Your giving toward this project should be in addition to your regular church contributions.

STEP 5: TRUST

Continue to pray with us through this season. Ask God to help you trust that He will use your gift to provide a home for the harvest. Pray that He will produce a harvest of righteousness in your own life and that He will give Grace City the opportunity to continue making disciples of Jesus in the City South for many years to come.
